Holy cute! I totally love the stylization, especially since I get to see little goldfish smiles. I'm a bit of a goldfish fan myself, though with my limited space, I can only keep two. Even so, they're so much work, though totally rewarding.
Aaah. They are so much work! I can never get that across to people. they always brush them off as easy. But nope! I may have.. twelve of them. ahaha. In two tanks, a 40gal and a 75gal. Water changes. are not fun.
And thanks so much! ;w; The signature is a hit on my forum. I'm so glad people like it so much, even if its just a cutesy little idea. haha.
I was once as disillusioned as the average person regarding goldfish care, though I did keep the water clean and provided aeration. Not enough space back then, though, and I feel awful looking back on it.
I've got two tanks in my teeny studio apartment: a divided 10 gallon for two bettas (my other fish love) and a 20 gallon planted tank for the two goldies. It's still smaller than I want, and I'd like to get up to at least a 29 gallon, which is the largest that will fit on my stand. Even at 20 gallons, the water changes are still a tough feat. Especially since I have to do it every 3-4 days. Yikes!
The black moore you have there reminds me of my dear Mjolnir, who passed a couple of months ago to a sudden ich outbreak that didn't respond to treatment, yet left my oranda, Fafnir completely unharmed. Now I have a calico telescope to fill his honorary position. Someday I'll get around to illustrating them.
I do my water changes twice a week, too! i really wish I had one of those siphons that connect to the sink to do them with, aaah. I have the two mentioned goldfish tanks. A ten gallon betta tank and a 25 gallon betta/minnow/snail tank. Not to mention the 6x4 foot pond in my room for the turtles. ahaha. I'm crazy.
But they're all worth it. goldfish are wonderful. Mine are all named with a french theme. xD all of the fish in those tanks are, except for Odin. My one eyed loach. I think you can appreciate WHY he got that name, given the names of your own fish. lol
I'd love to see you draw them. I think you'd do a far more astounding job.
Holy crud, that is a lot of water! I expect to move into a larger space within the year if all goes well, so I hope I can restrain myself if I feel the urge to acquire more fish pals. (I think my lack of extra funds will do that nicely, though. )
Norse names are win! I do love the French theme you have going. Fish are always so difficult to name, for whatever reason. I named my first two after vacuums: Hoover and Kirby.
I love goldies, I have 5 fancy ones.
Love this style here, and your fish are absolutely fantastic!
